Ronald McDonald House

 

There’s nothing worse than when your child is hurting. We all want to protect them and, when they are sick or injured, get them the best possible care. But that’s only part of the story. For many kids, the best care for their medical condition isn’t near their home, which puts a strain on the family. Enter the Ronald McDonald House (RMH), which works to give families a place to stay near many medical facilities around the country.

Our own RMH serves as a “home-away-from-home” for the families of children being treated at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Shriners Hospital for Children, and the Transitional Learning Center.

At Galveston Golf Carts, we do what we can to make these families feel welcome in our home town at the water’s edge. We not only support RMH financially and spread the word about their mission, but also provide the families with golf carts to use to see the island and enjoy our wonderful town during their stay. We hope to bring a little joy to their lives during difficult times with our beautiful weather and welcoming islanders!
